Biography I was born in Dearborn Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. From day one, I was always in some type of competitive sport. At 2 years old, my mother put my brother and I into gymnastics. Although he didn't stay in it very long I ended up making it apart of my life for 13 years. I still continued dance, cheerleading and running track, but gymnastics was my passion. I was training 4-5 days a week about 3-4 hours a day for club gymnastics. My sophomore year of high school I joined their gymnastics team and by senior year lead my team to victory as their captain. My goal was to get a college scholarship, but with two broken elbows and pins holding one together I was unable to compete at that level. Entering college I was like any other freshman living in a dorm… eating, drinking and gaining the lovely "freshman 15lbs". I continued to run and workout when I could, but I really didn't know what I was doing when it came to lifting weights. One summer I went home and saw a friend of mine who was on my high school gymnastics team. She had completely transformed her physique, she told me that she started competing in Fitness competitions. At that point, I knew this was something I could do that would let me be competitive. I went back to school and joined Gold's gym, and met a bodybuilder who I trained with for the next year. My friends were shocked when I instantly changed my routine from going to frat parties and ordering pizza, to 5am workouts and tuna out of the can!! Fall 2002 I had my first two shows a week apart and took home 1st place in both!! From then on I was hooked!! I took 6 months off from training, to finish up at Michigan State University with Bachelors in Marketing & Advertising. In the mean time, I was getting ready for my next competition and was introduced to Jen Hendershot. I hired her to choreograph my next routine. Working with her was the best decision I've ever made. It would have been difficult to achieve the level that I'm at without her. She not only gave me an awesome routine, but introduced me to Mike Davies who has trained me ever since. A few months later, I found the perfect place to live in Dallas, Texas. Currently, I am a Pharmaceutical Sales Recruiter for an animal health distributor. On the side I am personal training and continuing to educate people on living a healthy life. In addition to weightlifting and gymnastics, I enjoy traveling, modeling, running, and spending time with my friends and family. As a fitness competitor I still have many goals that I want to accomplish. I have been very blessed this year in that I have reached my dream of becoming an IFBB fitness pro. I hope to continue to move up the ladder and compete at the Olympia and the Arnold Classic standing next to my idols!
